Live Nation Australasia has announced details of Roger Field and Michael Coppel’s promotions.
Live Nation Australasia has been hard at work in the industry with a raft of acquisitions and partnerships, but surprisingly, the promoter has announced its first major staff shuffle in five years.
Live Nation Australasia COO Roger Field has been promoted to CEO while founding President and CEO Michael Coppel has become Chairman in the region.
The last major reshuffle was in 2012 when Live Nation acquired Coppel’s 30-year-old Melbourne-based promoter business Michael Coppel Presents, and Coppel stepped in to lead the merged companies.
Since then, Coppel has lead the purchase of the mixitup sponsorship agency, Vector Arena in Auckland, and Paul Piticco and Jess Ducrou’s Secret Sounds.
The local arm of Live Nation has also recently won the management bid for the Palais Theatre in Melbourne and partnered with UNIFIED’s touring arm Unify Presents to bring acts like Bring Me The Horizon and New Found Glory to Australia and New Zealand.
In his role as Chairman, Coppel will continue to nurture his industry relationships, seek opportunities for the business and mentor the company’s team in Australia and New Zealand.
Roger Field will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Live Nation’s concert business in Australia and New Zealand and continue to grow Live Nation’s business in the region.
