Billie Eilish confirmed as performer at the 2020 ARIA Awards

As the 2020 ARIA Awards inch ever closer, organisers have today revealed the addition of a big name star to its already-impressive lineup of performers at the upcoming socially-distanced event: Billie Eilish.

Scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 25th at the Star Event Centre in Sydney, the addition of Eilish as a performer to the 2020 ARIA Awards bolsters a star-studded event that includes the likes of Lime Cordiale, Tame Impala, Sampa the Great, Amy Shark, and Sia, all of whom are scheduled to make an appearance.

“We are thrilled to welcome global superstar Billie Eilish to this year’s ARIA Awards,” said ARIA Chief Executive Dan Rosen in a statement. “Australian music fans have taken her into our hearts, and last year Billie had the highest selling album in Australia with her massive hit When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

“She is truly one of the biggest artists in the world right now, and we can’t wait to see her perform her new song for all her Australian fans on the ARIA stage.”

As for what fans can expect, Eilish will be giving an exclusive performance of her latest single ‘Therefore I Am’ from her hometown of L.A..

With the recent confirmation of Delta Goodrem as host, the 2020 ARIA Awards is shaping up to be an exciting affair that sees Lime Cordiale and Tame Impala leading a stacked field with eight nominations. Also confirmed for this year’s event is the induction of Archie Roach into the Hall of Fame.

The 2020 ARIA Awards will take place at the Star Event Centre in Sydney on Wednesday, November 25th.
