UPDATE: Apple Music have also released their list of most-streamed songs and albums in Australia. Check out those lists below.

Drake is undoubtedly one of the year’s biggest acts, topping Apple Music’s lists for the most-played albums and songs for 2018.

Apple Music are beginning to look at wrapping up 2018, using their data to release their annual list of most-streamed songs and albums.

Of course, if you’ve spent any time listening to mainstream radio this year, the top ten songs will come as absolutely no surprise, with Drake totally cornering the market. With ‘God’s Plan’ and ‘Nice For What’ taking out the top two spots on the list, the Canadian artist even appears at #4 with ‘In My Feelings’, proving that 2018 was truly the year of Drizzy.

This news also comes just a couple of months after it was revealed that Drake had broken a record set by The Beatles for the most Billboard Hot 100 hits in a single year.

Likewise, it seems that even with an excessive marketing campaign on Spotify, Drake’s Scorpion proved to be a huge success for Apple Music, with the record serving as the most popular album of 2018.

However, unlike this year’s top songs, we don’t have to far to find some variety, with artists such as Post Malone, Cardi B, Travis Scott, and the late XXXTentacion filling out the top five.
