EMC 2019 is taking over Sydney this November, fusing new music with ideas and discussion on the future of the industry is beginning to take shape.
With the theme for this year being ‘The Next Now’, EMC 2019 is set to take a deep dive into exploring new technologies, changes and challenges that are ahead when it comes to creating music and art in a – hopefully – sustainable and thriving environment.
Today, the live music component of EMC 2019 – EMC Live – have unveiled their list of showcasing artists and look, it’s turning into quite the tasty affair. Demonstrating some of the brightest local performers breaking through and doing their thing, the program has been curated under the watchful eye and fine-tuned musical ear of Dave Ruby Howe (Triple J Unearthed).
“With a record number of applicants from every corner of the country for EMC LIVE 2019, this year’s lineup features 16 artists who are showing promise of national dominance and international appeal.” he has said.
“As diverse as ever, there’s dynamic festival-ready performers to streaming darlings and left of centre dark horses; house and techno to futuristic R&B and fruity pop. We already knew that Australia was punching above its weight when it comes to producing quality electronic artists but this year’s crop of EMC LIVE applicants proves that we’re not slowing down the manufacturing belt anytime soon.”
Taking over the Lansdowne Hotel on November 13th and 14th, ticket holders can expect to see the likes of Temgazi, Kult Kyss and more hit the stage.
