EXCLUSIVE: New World Artists inks Machine Age to growing roster

Australia’s fastest-growing booking agency New World Artists has signed experimental electronic artist Machine Age to its roster.

Machine Age, aka Adrian Mauro from Far North Queensland, has been on the industry’s radar for quite some time. triple j’s Richard Kingsmill gave his debut release ‘Chivalry’ 5 stars back in 2015, around the same time New World Artists’ Edwin Tehrani and Dominic Miller became fans.

“We’ve been a big fan of Machine Age at New World Artists since we first heard ‘Chivalry’ but the evolution of Machine Age since that time has turned us into his number 1 fans,” Edwin and Dom. “After seeing the new live show with a live drummer and hearing some unreleased songs, we knew we had to be involved with Machine Age moving forward. We’re proud and excited to welcome Machine Age to the New World Artists family.”

Mauro joins an impressive an eclectic local roster including Allday, Tina Arena, Northlane, Grinspoon and Thy Art is Murder.

“I’m so happy to be working with New World Artists, the genuine excitement and passion Dom and Edwin have shown for Machine Age is what every artist dreams of,” Mauro told TIO. “I’ve worked really hard to create a live show with the sonic impact of an electronic act and the raw energy of a rock show. They just got it from day one.”

The first release is the track ‘Chivalry is Dead’. The scuzzy, industrial delight makes it debut with a video clip, filmed in a Brisbane warehouse six weeks ago. Both the track and video make their premiere today on Tone Deaf.

‘Chivalry is Dead’ is the the first of a few releases planned in the coming months as Machine Age makes his way across the country in support of Holy Holy’s national tour through June and July.
