Ahead of the inaugural FastForward conference in Sydney next month, the music business conference have now announced a new global partnership with AWAL.

FastForward first began back in late 2015 by Chris Carey (former Global Insight Director at labels EMI and Universal), with its inaugural conference taking place in Amsterdam. 2017 saw the expansion of FastForward into London, and now 2018 has seen it expand globally, with the event coming to Australia in just over a fortnight.

FastForward’s new year-long partnership with Kobalt’s recording company AWAL will cover the Sydney edition of the conference in April, the London edition in September, and the flagship Amsterdam version in February of 2019.

“FastForward was developed from the idea of wanting to make real change to the music industry,” said Chris Carey of the new partnership. “We have engaged with an audience of disruptive, entrepreneurial young music executives who want to shape things for the better.”

There are still a few tickets are still available to the inaugural Sydney edition of FastForward from Ticketmaster, which will also feature Seventh Street Media’s Poppy Reid moderating the panel on Future Of Search & Discovery on April 13th.
