Chris Carey has a new gig.
The FastForward Music Conference spearhead is named Head of International Marketing at TicketSwap, an online marketplace founded in 2012 with the mission to make secondary ticketing fairer, safer and more transparent for gig-goers.
The British-born analyst and entrepreneur is founder and CEO of Media Insight Consulting in London and has worked with such clients as Spotify, Sony and The O2 Arena. Prior to that, he served as Global Insight Director at EMI Music and Universal Records.
In his new role, Carey will inject his experience in marketing, research, data analysis and consumer insights into TicketSwap’s marketing and growth strategy.
“We have been on a steep growth journey since we started 6 years ago and I’m proud to add Chris to our team as we continue to professionalize and expand even further,” comments TicketSwap CEO Hans Ober. “I’m excited to see how the combination of his data-driven methodology and international experience will fuel our marketing strategies in 2020 and beyond.”

Established five years ago in Amsterdam, FFWD has since expanded into the U.K. and Australia and will return to Sydney in April 2020.
