Created to cover the latest trends and opportunities within the music industry, and to decipher which areas are currently the most challenging for the music sector, the industry consultation is set to be turned into a discussion paper, which will be published exclusively on The Industry Observer.

Following last night’s workshop and industry consultation – the contributing results of which were collated live on the big screen – a panel discussion tackled digital marketing, local radio content quotas, an update on digital platforms, and the live music market.

The panel featured: Emily Collins (Managing Director of MusicNSW and Deputy Chair of AMIN), Guven Yilmaz (Managing Director, Vita Artists), Michael Christidis (Co-Director, Untitled Group) Jimmy Mackay (Label Manager, Xelon), Kelly Burge (Senior Account Manager, Eventbrite), Jane Slingo (Executive Producer EMC/Artist Manager), and this writer (Managing Editor, Seventh Street Media). It was facilitated by Ariel Blum (Founder, GRID Series Artist & Content Development Program).
