LA-based Grammy-winning R&B producer Warryn Campbell (Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Missy Elliott), Jebediah’s Kevin Mitchell, Jen Cloher, and Ben Abraham (who co-wrote Kesha’s hit ‘Praying’) are locked in for a one-day event of masterclasses, workshops and networking opportunities for emerging and mid-career songwriters.

The Melbourne Sessions, presented by APRA AMCOS and the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria, is a ticketed event, held Friday July 6 at Kindred Studios in Yarraville.

“I am stoked to have the chance to lead a masterclass for The Melbourne Sessions,” said songwriter Ben Abraham. “I grew up around songwriting and am super passionate to share everything I know about the craft with anyone who will listen.”

“As one of Australia’s fastest growing export industries, a career path in songwriting or composing has never been more viable, which is why we are partnering with Creative Victoria to further advance the artistic and economic potential in the field,” said Jana Gibson, APRA AMCOS’ Director of Writer Services.
