Mirror Music Group launches Mirror Singles label, announces first signing

Kurt Bailey of Mirror Music Group has proven once again that he’s one of the hardest workers in the Aussie music scene, announcing the launch of the new Mirror Records imprint, Mirror Singles, along with the label’s first signing.

Just over a year ago, Mirror Music Group announced the launch of its Mirror Records label, which has since then overseen the release of music of brilliant artists including Sloan Peterson, Ric Rufio, and indie-rock giants Gang Of Youths and Middle Kids.

Now, Mirror Singles also joins the family, with the label also announcing its first signing today, US artist Brandon Hoogenboom.

“Kurt and I both share similar excitement for new music and wanted a platform to easily release music by our friends and artists we love,” explained Mirror Music Group’s General Manager, Nick Lynagh. “Kurt has been mates with Brandon for many years, he is an incredible talent so it seemed like a great place to start.”

Brandon Hoogenboom’s single ‘Hey You’ has also been released today to help celebrate the launch of Mirror Singles. Recorded in Nashville, Tennesse, ‘Hey You’ was produced by Brent Beachtel, whose nickname of ‘Beach Vibes’ says plenty about the track’s laidback feel.

“The song is actually about anxiety, even though it has a happy-go-lucky kind of feel to it,” explained Hoogenboom of the track It’s a very personal song and I hope it can reach anyone that struggles with anxiety, and let them know they are not alone.”

Here’s to plenty more huge releases from the newly-founded imprint Mirror Singles!
