Nardean signs with Alt. Music Group, Niche Productions: Exclusive

Nardean has new management and booking agency representation, The Industry Observer can exclusively reveal.

The Western Sydney-based singer, songwriter, poet and rapper has signed up with Alt. Music Group for management and struck a deal with talent booking agency Niche Productions.

At Alt. Music Group, Nardean joins a stable of artists that includes 2019 ARIA Award winner Kaiit, Francoistunes, Yaw Faso, Ceeko and Zac Slater.

“Myself and the entire Alt. Music Group team are beyond excited to be working with Nardean,” comments Khaled Abdulwahab, comments the Melbourne-based company’s Director and Co-Founder.

“Her work ethic, raw talent and artistry are truly one of a kind and we could not be happier to be on board as team Nardean,” he continues in a statement. “We look forward to where the rest of 2020 and beyond takes us.”

But wait, there’s more. The rising hip-hop artist joins the team at Niche Productions, whose roster features Sampa The Great, Benee, Genesis Owusu, Boo Seeka, Kim Churchill and others.

With Niche on board, Nardean will kick off a national tour once the nationwide lockdown restrictions are lifted, according to her reps.

Nardean adds these two critical pieces of industry support to her arsenal following the release of The New Era, her second EP.

The New Era dropped May 1 via Ditto Music Australia, the independent distribution and label services company which has worked with the likes of Tash Sultana, Baker Boy, KIAN, Kwame and Alex Lahey.

“Allow Nardean to open your third eye with this mindful exploration,” triple j music director Dave Ruby Howe said of album track ‘not sorry’. 

Raised in Australian with Egyptian roots, Nardean made inroads with her 2018 debut EP Creatress, on which she showcased her own brand of “post hop“.

Creatress lit the fuse for a breakout year which saw her play Splendour In The Grass, support Maribell and showcase at Bigsound.

Since then, Nardean’s talents have been praised in the music press by way of features in Purple Sneakers, Frankie Magazine, NME Australia and more.
