New World Artists signs dream-pop band ahead of EP launch tour

New World Artists signs dream-pop band ahead of EP launch tour

Melbourne four-piece Jade Imagine have just dropped their self-professed “slacker-fuzz-dream-pop” EP What The Fuck Was I Thinking via Milk Records and thrown in the announcement of their booking deal for good measure.

Signed to New World Artists, the deal sees the band in good company with Allday, Daniel Johns, Grinspoon and Northlane on the roster.

Frontwoman and main songwriter Jade McInally said: “We are stoked to be working with Dom Miller, as part of the New World Artists Booking roster. Dom’s values align with ours and it’s exciting to be represented by someone so down to earth and good at what they do!”

Speaking to TIO, Miller said he first became aware of Jade Imagine via their manager Lorrae McKenna, who sent him the band’s single “Stay Awake”.

“That song was on high rotation in my life as soon as I heard it. Once I saw Jade Imagine kill it at The Tote front bar one Sunday afternoon in February, I knew that I wanted to work with them.

Miller, who works from the agency’s Brisbane post, added:

“Jade is an undeniably talented songwriter but seeing the live show added another element that completely sold me on the band (not that I needed much convincing).

“We believe Jade Imagine is in the next crop of Australia’s best bands and that the What The F*ck Was I Thinking EP will be one of the best releases of this year. With the EP tour coming up in May and plenty of gigs coming up in the second half of the year, it’s going to be a big 12 months for Jade Imagine.”
