Noel Gallagher and Tim Rogers are hosting a liquid lunch for ARIA Week

An Oasis member and a You Am I member walk into a bar…

Each year, ARIA create memorable live music experiences and conversations for its annual ARIA Week leading into the Awards – and 2019’s edition will be no different.

This year’s ARIA Week will feature a special edition of Double J’s Liquid Lunch Live as Noel Gallagher and Tim Rogers, who first toured together in 1998, sit down in an exclusive conversation about music and life.

The pair have a lot of catching up to do since You Am I supported Oasis on shows in Australia, Hong Kong and Japan 21 years ago.

Noel Gallagher and Tim Rogers’ Liquid Lunch Live will take place on Friday 22nd November with the location still to be announced. Double J’s website has more information on how to score tickets.

Other highlights from 2019 ARIA Week include a Masterclass delivered by Tuma Basa, the Director of Urban Music, YouTube Music.

With hip hop being the fastest growing genre on the planet (and this masterclass a sign of things to come from ARIA) Tuma Basa is well-fitted to the program. He’ll discuss his work with hip hop artists around the world and what it takes to be successful in the global streaming era.

The Nova Red Room calendar will be extra packed during ARIA Week with performances from Birds of Tokyo, Dean Lewis, Guy Sebastian, Illy, PNAU and Tones and I locked in.

ARIA has also teamed up with Women In Music Sydney Australia to host a special networking breakfast at The Star at 11am on November 19, this event is a celebration of the extraordinary women in the industry and what they’ve learnt throughout their careers. This event is invite-only.

Elsewhere, ARIA Week will feature the The Young Stars Of Country tour, where four of the most recognisable Australian country music artists come together for a once in a lifetime treat.

Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole, Darren Coggan and Felicity Urquhart count Gold certified records, chart topping albums and countless number one singles between them. The eight-date Young Stars Of Country tour will mark 20 years since they first toured together.

ARIA Chief ExecutiveDan Rosen said:

“ARIA Week is a brilliant way to extend the celebration of Australian music across  November in the lead up to the ARIA Awards. We have an incredible line up of Australian talent, from ARIA Hall Of Fame winners to up-and-comers, across inner-city Sydney to Byron Bay.

“I am very excited to see the events across a diversity of genres, from hip-hop to country, showcasing our artists across a wide range of the ARIA Award categories,” he added.

“This year, we also have an incredible line up of industry panels. As the Director of Urban Music, YouTube Music, Tuma Basa is at the forefront of what is happening in the fastest growing genre on the planet.

“I also cannot wait to see the legendary Noel Gallagher sit down with the legendary Tim Rogers to discuss their shared past and the future of rock and roll.”

ARIA promises more speakers and ARIA Week inclusions to be announced in the coming weeks.
