Shari Hindmarsh unveils Great Company Collective

Comms veteran Shari Hindmarsh takes the wheel at Great Company Collective (GCC), a new Melbourne-based business specialising in brand, PR and growth strategies.

Hindmarsh is director at the communications company, which will play in the space between entertainment and lifestyle industries and across all media platforms.

Previously, Hindmarsh served as Senior Publicist at Secret Service PR and Secret Sounds for four years, executing PR campaigns for multiple festivals, artists, tours and events from inception to completion.

“I’m really excited to launch Great Company Collective in 2021 and am looking forward to working alongside a like-minded collective of storytellers and collaborators,” comments Hindmarsh on the launch of GCC.

The new company has been quietly operating since late 2020, with the Greatest Southern Nights shows at Qudos Bank Arena, the first post-COVID, among its first ventures

“I think there is currently an amazing opportunity to re-imagine the way in which we work and create,” she adds. “At GCC, we’re seeing this as a re-birth of the creative industries which will spark limitless possibilities – it’s something to be inspired by and we think the future looks bright in an evolving world.”

During her stint with SSPR, Hindmarsh worked on projects for Halsey, The 1975, Lewis Capaldi, Mumford & Sons, Ruel, Angus & Julia Stone and live events including Falls Festival, Yours & Owls Festival and Strawberry Fields.

SSPR closed its doors in March 2020, a consequence of the pandemic.

Soon after it folded, Hindmarsh’s SSPR colleague Stacey Piggott launched her own independent PR and marketing agency Daydream Nation.
