Sony Music inks strategic partnership with Cooking Vinyl Australia

Cooking Vinyl Australia is casting its net farther and wider following a new partnership with Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

Cooking Vinyl Australia (CVA), which boasts acts like Kate Miller-Heidke, Basement, The Bronx, You Me At Six, and Modern Baseball on its roster, is now able to tap in to music distributor and label services company The Orchard; on a global basis.

Announced today, CVA will continue to operate as an autonomous and standalone company out of Melbourne but will now grow and develop the careers its artists and partner labels using the Sony-owned Orchard, which operates in more than 30 global markets.

With founding leaders Leigh Gruppetta and Stu Harvey at the helm, CVA now represents a number of renowned local and international labels in Australia and New Zealand; including, BMG Rights, Dine Alone, Fat Cat, New Damage, Razor & Tie, Resist, Epitaph/Anti, Greyscale, Run For Cover, and SideOneDummy.

The partnership equally benefits Sony Music, with the label stating the venture will expand its own roster.
