Teenage Dads sign with Chugg Music, announce celebratory shows in Sydney

Chugg Music have announced the signing of Melbourne band Teenage Dads, their first new singing in two years.

Melbourne indie-pop four-piece Teenage Dads have signed with Chugg Music for Management Representation and to the Chugg Music Record Label.

The band expressed their excitement at joining the Chugg Music family: “It has been tricky to stay tight-lipped about working together, but we are honoured to officially be a Chugg Music artist.  Our relationship with the Chugg Music team has been growing prior to any mention of working together, it speaks volumes about their passion to grow emerging artists, an approach that our band values too.”

Teenage Dads are Jordan Finlay, Vincent Kinna, Connor McLaughlin, and Angus Christie. The four high school friends started releasing music in late 2019 and quickly gained the attention of now-label-and-management mates Lime Cordiale, who promptly invited the band along as support for their Australian Robbery Tour in 2019-2020.

More touring followed, and the band rapidly became known for their fervent live show and their genuine connection with their fans.  It was this, along with their carefully written and entirely self-produced music, that made an immediate impact with the Chugg Music team.

“Chugg Music are truly proud that our first new signing in 2 years is a group that has such a passion for playing live and entertaining audiences.” Michael Chugg said.  “Teenage Dads are going to kick arse!”

“Teenage Dads are one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen; you have to see it to believe it,” Andrew Stone added. “The band is prolific and the songs we have in the pipeline are world class. Oli and Louis from Lime Cordiale wouldn’t shut up about how good they were so we gave it a close listen and we’re really glad we did.”

Chugg Music also announced two celebratory shows in Sydney to mark the signing. Teenage Dads will play at the Oxford Art Factory on Thursday, April 29th, at 6:30pm and 8:45pm. Tickets are on sale now here.
