The Kid is on top of the world.

For the first time, The Kid Laroi’s ‘Stay’ hits No. 1 on the Global 200, Billboard’s worldwide chart that ranks songs based on streaming and sales data from more than 200 territories.

The Global 200 is the best metric we have gauging the most popular singles in the world, and the teenage Aussie’s collaboration with Justin Bieber is officially No. 1, everywhere.

After logging its first two weeks at No. 2, The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s ‘Stay’ climbs the Billboard Global 200 summit, with 75.1 million streams (up 6%) and 13,900 sold worldwide (up 11%) in the July 23-29 tracking week.

It’s the first time The Kid LAROI has led the list, and Bieber’s second.

According to Billboard, its chart rankings are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, plus downloads, though sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites aren’t tallied.

Raised in Sydney, now based in Los Angeles, The Kid LAROI is the first Australian-born artist to top the Global 200 chart.

He’s actually the second act raised in Australia to go to the top. Blackpink’s Rosé, who was born in Auckland, raised in Melbourne and now based in South Korea, led for a week with ‘On the Ground’ in March.

The Kid (real name Charlton Howard) had a previous best of No. 10 on the global chart with ‘Without You,’ with Miley Cyrus.

‘Stay’ recently hit No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart and No. 2 in the U.K. and appears on the third edition of Laroi’s evolving F*ck Love mixtape, titled Over You

It’s not the first time Laroi has had a Billboard No. 1. The Sydney lad’s ‘Without You’ went to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs charts, dated May 15.
