Vanessa Picken joins [PIAS], is set to relocate to Los Angeles

Australia’s beloved industry authority Vanessa Picken is relocating to Los Angeles in July for a newly created role with global music company [PIAS].

As on July 1, Picken will start her role as Head of Digital for America, Asia Pacific, Australia & New Zealand for the European independent music agency.

Picken is of course the Founder and Managing Director of digital agency Comes With Fries, which she will continue to wholly own and oversee.

Comes With Fries offers bespoke label services, and includes Jaxsta, Nettwerk Music Group, [PIAS], CXLOE, The Cat Empire, and Support Act, among its clients. Comes With Fries will continue also to work closely with [PIAS] and its other global key clients.

In her new role Picken will will further enhance [PIAS]’s extensive global digital offering. She’ll report in to Managing Director for America & Asia Pacific, Colin Daniels, as well as work with [PIAS] Chief Digital Officer Adrian Pope.

Vanessa Picken said:

“I’ve always wanted to challenge myself and keep evolving my business, so this growth with [PIAS] feels like a perfect next step. I’m thrilled to be joining Colin, Adrian and the team who are just as driven to innovate, transform and expand the digital music industry.”

Anyone who knows Picken knows this move isn’t a goodbye to her homeland. And given [PIAS]’s ownership of Inertia Music – with Inertia taking over representation of [PIAS]’s artist and label roster in Australia – her role will see her make regular visits Down Under.

Colin Daniels said:

“Vanessa has an impressive track record for constantly delivering successful digital campaigns for artists and labels through her agency, Comes With Fries. I’m ecstatic Vanessa has agreed to join us as we continue to broaden our American and Australian businesses and strengthen our commitment to the fast growing Asian market.”
